Have you ever used Solufleece?

Solufleece – Something new to try

Have you ever used solufleece?

Solufleece is a water soluble stabiliser for machine embroidery. It handles heavy/high density stitching very well.

Simply treat Solufleece like a normal fabric while sewing & embroidering (layer against the fabric you wish to stabilise.

Once the stitching is complete submerge in water and the solufleece will disolve away to leave the stitching you have done. It is cold water soluble – leaves no residue.

We have an excellent video on our website of Kim Thittichai using Solufleece whilst doing some free machine embroidery. To watch the video you can either click on the video image below or click this link.

Christmas Gifts

Christmas Gift Vouchers

The weather is turning a bit colder and the nights are drawing in. That can only mean one thing… Christmas is just around the corner!

For us crafters the need to be organised in the lead up to Christmas is even greater as there is lots to do and to make. With that in mind Colouricious have come up with the perfect gift for all your crafting friends. If you are not sure which block or DVD to buy people for Christmas, then why not just get them a Colouricious Gift Voucher. the vouchers are valid for any product for sale on the website. You purchase them like a normal product and in return you will receive a pdf file that you can print out and fold up to make an attract card. The voucher has a unique code on it that the recipient just has to add to the checkout process and they will see the amount of the voucher be deducted from their total spend. It is a lovely gift to give your crafting friends.

If you would like to purchase some gift vouchers ready for Christmas, you can find them here.

Come on a Textile Treasure Hunt

rubber-stamping-roller-stamp

We have had several people respond to our recent newsletters about our holidays to Jaipur, Rajasthan and Kerala in the next few months. In addition, a number of people have also reserved their places on our Textile Treasure Hunt across North India in March next year as well. So much so that as I am typing this newsletter there is only 5 spaces left on the trip before it is full.

Our trip across Northern India promises to be hugely exciting as we visit Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow and Agra to name just a few places. The trip will include a mixture of visiting villages to see local crafters in action as well as time to visit some of the wonderful and famous sights of India including to world famous Taj Mahal at Agra which I can assure you is everything you expect it to be and more.

If you want to grab one of the remaining 5 places on this trip then I urge you to get onto our website and fill in the booking form to reserve your place. I am confident that the trip will be full long before we actually leave in March, so if you don’t want to be disappointed, I recommend you reserve your place now.

I look forward to seeing you on the treasure hunt.

Next Quilt Show

At this point in the newsletter, I would normally be telling you about where I am next going to be exhibiting and what my stand number is. However, this time the next show I am going to be at is a bit more of a adventure. Tomorrow we are off to Houston to go to the Houston Quilt Festival. We have a number of people coming with us who are sure to have a great time; after all crafting and shopping is just about the perfect mix isn’t it?

We will be taking loads of photos and hopefully a few videos too, so look out for those on our website and YouTube channel. We will report back on how it all went in a future newsletter.

Learn, Create, Be Happy!
